While STC is a new firm in the first stages of building a clientele, our Principals/Owners have a combined 62 years experience in professional archaeology and paleontology, and a solid track record of timely, professional products and services. We are currently developing agreements or under contract with the following clients:

Client: The Archaeological Conservancy (TAC)

Project Name: On-Call consulting services.

Completion Date: Ongoing

Project Description: STC provides western states on-call consulting services to the TAC Western Regional Director and TAC Executive Director. Tasks include: (1) identification of properties suitable for TAC acquisition via purchase or purchase of easements, (2) National Register and significance evaluation of  properties under consideration for acquisition, and (3) management recommendations for properties currently held by TAC.

Client: Sierra Pacific Industries

Project Name: Meadowview THP

Completion Date: Ongoing

Project Description: STC will provide a variety of cultural resource services to the client for their proposed Meadowview Timber Harvest Plan (THP), Plumas County, California. Tasks include: (1) coordination with Native American consultants to provide location and descriptive information on Native American plant collection sites contained within the proposed THP, (2) records search specific to the proposed Meadowview THP project area at the Northeast office of the California Historical Resources Inventory System, (3) access and evaluate all previously unpublished or unfiled site records related to the proposed Meadowview THP project area, (4) revise site records and site record addenda on an as-needed basis, and (5) provide Sierra Pacific Industries with assistance addressing Native American coordination concerns and other field and non-field tasks, as needed.

Client: City of Chico General Services, Parks and Natural Resources

Project Name: Monkeyface Trail Re-Route

Completion Date: Ongoing

Project Description: STC will evaluate and provide recommendations for proposed trail reroutes in Upper Bidwell Park, in the vicinity of the Monkeyface outcrop feature. Tasks include: (1) coordination with Native American consultants regarding potential areas of concern including Sacred Lands and Traditional Cultural Properties, (2) records search specific to the proposed project area at the Northeast office of the California Historical Resources Inventory System, (3) access and evaluate all previously unpublished or unfiled site records related to the proposed Monkeyface project area, (4) revise site records and site record addenda and file new records on an as-needed basis, and (5) provide the City of Chico with a final report addressing cultural resource findings and recommendations, Native American coordination concerns, and other field and non-field tasks, as needed.
